2005:
Richards’ promising season was cut short when Ostitus Pubis struck, holding him back for the rest of the year. Must balk up in 2005.

2004:
One of the star young ruckmen of the competition. Richards was selected at pick 37 in the 2000 National Draft.
After spending three years at VFL level without cracking the senior side, the skinny Richards made his debut in round two against the Western Bulldogs.
Richards was unspectacular in his first few weeks at senior level but really made an impression against Carlton in round seven and never looked back.
He received a National Rising Star nomination in round eight against the Crows and continued his good form against the Kangaroos and Eagles before braking even against star Demon ruckman Jeff White.
