Not the most electrifying start from our new recruit but has shown enough to show a big second half of 2005 is on the cards. Chad is experienced, and history shows experienced players come good late in the year when all the youngsters faze out. Morrison had a great finish to 2004, which increased his trade worth significantly. I’m sure he will do the same. As young teams like Richmond, Western Bulldogs and Hawthorn tire out, players like Morrison, Burns, Licuria will seem a little bit faster. It is important to note our young players have all only played no more than half the games of 2005 and should be fit enough to run out whereas teams like Richmond have had their kids playing from round 1.
