Report Card: Mid-Season (Round 11) - by Dave68

A really interesting start for Cam. Has endured criticism, and probably rightly so as his form has not been flash. Has failed to present and kick many goals and has not taken enough contested marks. However his efforts in the ruck have been commendable and he has worked very hard there. Leads the hitout tally with 91, 40 clear of his nearest competitor. Cloke may struggle to get a game if Richards comes back, however he played a great game against Geelong. Cloke could be anything if he learns to time his leaps and learns to present better. He leads to weird pockets of the ground, although most of the time it is to get the ruckman of the opposition out of the way to clear room for Tarrant. Cloke must however stop ‘dummy leading’ and begin demanding the ball for himself. Deserves selection after a pretty solid effort against Geelong but has yet to blow critics away.

2005:
Was on a modified program for the pre-season of 2005, and came under fire when he returned for training at the start of October out of shape.

2004:
Drafted under the father-son rule, Cloke joined his older brother Jason at Collingwood in season 2003, where he spent the season in the VFL.
After showing some improvement late in the season, Cloke was named an emergency for the round 22 clash with Essendon. Although he missed the finals, Cloke played in the Williamstown premiership team, a reward for his hard work.
Big Cloke made his debut in round 5 2004 against Essendon on ANZAC Day in front of a huge crowd. Cloke appeared to relish the challenge, as he gave a contest and fought hard for the ball. Cameron was knocked out the next week against the Power after a collision with Warren Treadra.
Cloke was then sidelined for two weeks. After his return, Cloke showed what he could do,
with a few weeks of brilliant football. After a good showing against North, Cloke was found speeding on the Eastern Freeway on his way to training and was fined heavily. Cloke continued his good form and in round 12 showed great hands on a wet day, although the Pies lost by nine points.
