2005:
Was on a modified program for the pre-season of 2005, and came under
fire when he returned for training at the start of October out of
shape.
2004:
Drafted under the father-son rule, Cloke joined his older brother
Jason at Collingwood in season 2003, where he spent the season in
the VFL.
After showing some improvement late in the season, Cloke was named
an emergency for the round 22 clash with Essendon. Although he missed
the finals, Cloke played in the Williamstown premiership team, a reward
for his hard work.
Big Cloke made his debut in round 5 2004 against Essendon on ANZAC
Day in front of a huge crowd. Cloke appeared to relish the challenge,
as he gave a contest and fought hard for the ball. Cameron was knocked
out the next week against the Power after a collision with Warren
Treadra.
Cloke was then sidelined for two weeks. After his return, Cloke showed
what he could do,
with a few weeks of brilliant football. After a good showing against
North, Cloke was found speeding on the Eastern Freeway on his way
to training and was fined heavily. Cloke continued his good form and
in round 12 showed great hands on a wet day, although the Pies lost
by nine points. |
