https://www.collingwoodfc.com.au/video/944835/injury-report-round-11

TEST:
C. Brown - Shoulder
J. Thomas - Ankle

UNAVAILABLE:
Elliott - Lower Leg (1 Week)
McCreery - Calf (1 Week)
Cox - Larynx (1-2 Weeks)
McInnes - Ankle (7-9 Weeks)
Howe - Hamstring (8 Weeks)

TBA:
Greenwood - Concussion

No mention of Brayden Sier (Hip), Anton Tohill (Adductor), or Trey Ruscoe (Shoulder). Sier and Tohill were listed as tests last week, Ruscoe was listed as 1-2 Weeks. One can only assume that all three are ready to play in the VFL this week.

Crap news with Beau out, but at least its short term. The great news is Elliott is a week away. One good week re:injuries and we'll just be talking about Reef and Howe. Here's hoping.

Now the teams are out, here we are: (Unofficially)

T. Brown - Shoulder (TBA)
J. Thomas - Ankle (1 Week)
Elliott - Lower Leg (1 Week)
McCreery - Calf (1 Week)
Cox - Larynx (1-2 Weeks)
McInnes - Ankle (7-9 Weeks)
Howe - Hamstring (8 Weeks)
Greenwood - Concussion (TBA)

Weird to think that we could get up to 5 players back next week. (6 if Levi gets up).

(Is it possible there's been a mix up with Cal/Ty Brown?)

Grundy has been subbed out with a neck injury.

He was taken to hospital for precautionary scans, but was reported to be feeling comfortable.

We'll keep an eye out for news on that later tonight.

Yes the news at this stage is that Grundy has been cleared, but still may miss the game against the Crows.

Theses also been talk that Pendlebury has been playing injured.

We'll know more tomorrow night.

Jamie Elliott is available for selection against the Crows, but Brodie Grundy and Taylor Adams will be on the sidelines for 2-3 weeks.

Gawn to pick up 6 Brownlow votes in 2 weeks.

https://www.afl.com.au/news/624424/double-pie-blow-star-ruck-sidelined-knee-setback-for-gun-mid

Quote:
COLLINGWOOD ruckman Brodie Grundy will be sidelined for at least the next fortnight with the neck injury that forced him to be subbed out of Saturday's loss to Geelong.

And vice-captain Taylor Adams will join him in rehab, with scans revealing he had suffered a fresh setback in his return from a knee injury against Port Adelaide in round 10.

.....

Young midfielder Tyler Brown is also awaiting further advice on a shoulder injury that occurred during training last week.

In better news, forward Jamie Elliott will be available to face the Crows after recovering from the leg fracture he suffered in round two against Carlton.

Josh Thomas, who missed against the Cats with an ankle injury, is expected to be available against the Crows. Mason Cox (larynx) and Beau McCreery (calf) are both tests ahead of this week.

We're about to find out if Tyler Brown will miss the rest of the year within the hour.

If he goes in for surgery, we'll have three picks in tomorrows mid-season draft.

afl.com.au's take for this week:

Quote:
Grundy will miss his first game since 2017 after pinching a nerve in his neck against Geelong. While he was cleared of damage, the Pies have ruled him out of at least the next two games before their round 14 bye. Adams is also out until the bye after scans revealed he had suffered a fresh knee injury in his return match in round 10. Brown was due to meet with a shoulder specialist on Tuesday and the Pies are awaiting further detail on Cox's injured larynx. Jamie Elliott, however, has been passed available to return for his first game after fracturing his leg in round two. - Mitch Cleary

Just a gentle reminder:

Don't speculate.

Don't make up rubbish.

Don't give us your prognosis (even if you are Jamie Elliott's surgeon).

Just state things about injuries/recoveries/changes to status or time on the sideline etc that you have heard, watched or read and can substantiate with a reliable link to a reputable source.

You can post anything you like (subject to the Forum Rules) about other issues of interest in other threads. You can start a new thread, where appropriate. Just please don't post those sorts of things in this thread.

The injury discussion thread is here: https://www.magpies.net/nick/bb/viewtopic.php?t=88570

Thanks. Pies4shaw for BBMods.

Now that the teams are out, here we are:

Quote:
Cox - Larynx (1 Week)
McCreery - Calf (1 Week)
Grundy - Neck (2-3 weeks).
Adams - Knee (2-3 weeks).
McInnes - Ankle (6-8 Weeks)
Howe - Hamstring (7 weeks).
Greenwood - Concussion (TBA)
T. Brown - Shoulder (TBA)
Begg - Shoulder (Season)

Is there going to be a VFL game?? I'm assuming not. Looking forward to Beau coming in to face the Dees, and Grundy/Adams after the bye.
