Post subject: Our injury list in 2021 should be a lot better touch wood | |
|
Was thinking about our trades, delisting and retirements I think we have cleared out the dead wood TBH. Our injury list should be ahelluvah lot less busy touch wood next year.
Trealoar- dodgy hamstrings
Stephenson- heart condition
Phillips - starting to have hammy problems
Reid - always injured
Shaz - dodgy feet and knees
Broomhead - leg issues
Dunn - dodgy knees
Beams - mental and hips
Varcoe - leg and shoulder issues
Langdon - dodgy knee
Appleby - dodgy legs
I think if you look back at our injury problems over last 3-4 years I’m sure there’s not too many weeks where you wouldnt see one of these names on there.
Maybe it wasn’t an injury curse ... just recruited wrong players whos bodies couldn’t cope with demands of AFL football. Harsh or reality? _________________ Go Pies...Premiers 2010 |

Im only half joking when i say, it seems like the last time we had a fully fit and healthy side was about 2010. We can only pray that for once, the injury Gods leave us alone, at long, long, last. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

What we would not want is those pure accidental during a game injury
Like Will Kelly who started off a game and showed promise then breaks an arm _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

We must be boyed by the player availability this season in contrast to years past
With the possible exemption of Tom Langdon other retired players were aging with injuries history

This is the healthiest I can ever remember our list being, with Elliott the only senior player out injured. |

Certainly since Buckley became coach - he seems to have had a cursed run with injuries _________________ I think therefore I think - I think |
