Had 26 disposals and 7 tackles, I still think he is 1 more game away from senior footy, might make his season debut in September. |
not unless half the side is injured.
with a solid pre-season he can look forward to cementing a spot next year. Great to see he had 7 tackles, that's one thing that's missing frnm wellinghams game. |

Keeffe might be getting tired after his first full-time season.
Speed and mobility definitely isn't a concern with him. I've seen him play defense before and he has done quite well.
He might just have had an off day. _________________ Carn' the PIES!!!! |

Best thing is that, with that win, we've secured a finals spot. |

yeah i was reading that thing on the pies website..
they said he played forward for a few minutes and looked lively and more at home..
I realise the goal was after the siren but gee thats good for his confidence!!! I really hope he can finally string some games together and become the player we all know he can be _________________ THE PIES DELIVERED IN 2010 |

The main thing for Rusling at the moment is for him to get game time & come through uninjured. Where he plays is secondary to this. _________________ Swan is down, Swan kicks the goal! And everything here will be a Magpie celebration!

I hadn't realised, so that's even better than I thought. It's definitely an advantage having the twos going around during September, especially given our rotations. |

I've put a full report of today's VFL game on the VFL board, but basically I have a new favourite young magpie, and he wears 22.
"Rusty" was once again brilliant today, apart from running himself so hard early that he needed a rest in the 3rd quarter.
Kicked the 1st goal from outside 50 on the run, that bought a chill up the spine, thinking "how good is this kid going to be".
Rusling marked with 2 seconds left at the end of the game, and goaled truly, hopefully they play him up forward for the rest of the VFL season.
Rocca had 6-7 shots at goal, kicked 2, but couldn't jump, and got beat twice in contests because of this. I'm not a fan of him returning.
Was a good day, apart from a lacklustre 3rd term. |
