Nick Barmby continued his fine recent form by scoring the only goal which was set up by an incredible run from Owen.

Not all good news, however, with injuries to Heskey and Ziege.

Let's not crack the Krug yet Alf, I think I recall Newcastle rolled that lot last year 2-zip. (If not, some other bunch from out there). Still, an away win in Europe is a result!
