Post subject: an accident today | |
|
I was at work today sitting outside with a staff member having a chat when I heard this almighty screech, then looked up to see this car airborn and flew through a fence onto a railway track.
The bang from the impact was so loud I thought he had hit another car and thought, &%%& he has to have been killed here. I straight away bolt across the road yelling to my staff member to call 000.
One of my other staff who was just getting to work and was 'just missed' in the whole drama had stopped and ran over also.
The bloke driving the car was already out, i couldn't believe it, and not hurt at all, he was swearing and carrying on about pranging the car. If someone had have been in the passenger seat, there'd be a dead person.
Sara, who he just missed, said this bloke would have over taken her doing at least 120km in a 60 zone. He hit these bumps in the road and lost it, fish tailed in and out behind her and then hit the last bump and flew into the air.
Of course he is wanting the tow'y straight away before cops get there, as he says "i've got to get the car out, i shouldn't be driving, i was suspended last week". What goes on with people driving like this when they don't even have a licence. Surely if you'd been susp and you were gonna keep driving you'd at least obey the road rules to avoid unwanted attention???
I was telling another about the story, said the car was one of those hotted up commodores, lowered and had melbourne victory stickers on the windows, they said, "did he get out and light a flare?" ppffftttt...
Anyway, I am guessing he wont be getting his licence back in a hurry now. And that little "im running late brain snap" might have just cost him more than a bit of a dock in pay for being late... _________________ "whaaa whaaaaaa! |

Tess you have a point (and yes this is something I consider often myself), but at the same time life is made up of causes and effects.
Who knows what led him to do this, but doing stupid things, for whatever reason, often results in misfortune. It's not about judging people, imo. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |

Tess, regardless of what forced him to drive - NO ONE forced him to speed, or lose his license last week. |

There is no need to apologize. I've lost the context, MR Pert paid tribute to Newman and Quartermain but said there was no room for them in the station's salary cap after signing a new three-year broadcast deal with the AFL. Are we still on It's not about judging people imo? I do not understand. |

He was speeding coz he was late for work. (mind you, as he said, he was already 45 mins late anyway, and he was two mins away from his workplace) He openly admitted - His words - "what a dickhead, I just lost it on the humps, just going too fast to get to work" "&%%& I can't go in now, gotta get it fixed today"
Not forgetting it was peak hour, in a 60km zone and he was doing (well we can round it down to 100 if we like) at least 100+ km
He chose to speed, he cops the wrath as far as i'm concerned. _________________ "whaaa whaaaaaa! |

That's the thing, take it away. He could have killed someone today. He didn't, but it could quite easily have ended up that way. Thank god it didn't. _________________ "whaaa whaaaaaa! |
