You are right. I'd be hesitant to stray away from well lit areas. |

Preston through to Reservoir |
It's actually Boldrewood Parade, and it's entirely in Reservoir.
You probably got it mixed up with the citylink exit near greater albania _________________ The wheels on the bus go round and round, but still they are not as round as Perry |

Id keep away from buyin property in areas near pubs.
There are many binge drinkers and the last thing you want is one of these Saturday night heroes assaulting you in their drunken state or urinating in your front garden. |

One of the reasons I moved away from Cranny, didn't want these people falling asleep or fighting in my front yard! _________________ Kaylene.

My mate lives in Noble Park, we used to watch the Maoris and Sudanese attack eachother from his roof. Crazy place. |

The worse areas in Melbourne are where there is a high concentration of immigrants/refugees and where there are many unemployed or low income workers. These areas are where the housing is the cheapest. You whack refugees, unemployed of all races and cultures and in turn you create a pool of hatred. They do not get along. Throw in the gang and clan culture and you have a recipe for disaster. Nothing to do, no money so you make your own entertainment and that is normally violence in most cases as that cost you nothing and then you have the drug factor. They start using, start dealing as they need the dollars, no outlook for a job and that is all they know. Then we have alcohol abuse occuring and in most cases if their parents do work are never home as they are most likely working two jobs for crap money.
The best areas are usually where the money is. That’s capitalism. Money talks.
As for The Pines, sure it has young couples moving in, give it 10 years and you will have teenagers with nothing to do and the problems flow off for that. It’s vicious cycle.

This is a superb comment and perhaps I am misinterpreting it but far too many people sit back and feel sorry for themselves rather than getting off their arses, putting in the hard work and making a difference in their lives.
Within my family there are social classes. Some got off thier arses, created businesses or put in the hard work and are now reaping the rewards. Others are on welfare wanting to blame everyone and ecerything for all their problems in life.
And yet the funny thing is that all came off virtually the same boat and at the same time as immigrants in the 70's. |

That comment is inspiring and what Jason McCartney said after the Bali bombing in which he was severly burned. It's how I live my life now. |

I grew up in the western suburbs & hated it.
Now in leafy Eltham, also own a place on the Mornington Peninsula, as we love the beach. _________________ WE WERE ROBBED, RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME, RIGHT IN FRONT OF MEEE!

Ahh, that explains so much |
oh yes eddie, born in SA, Parents born and bred for 3 generations one side and 5 generations the other side in Victoria......they just happened to live in SA for 13 months.
And of course that explains everything.
and i'm actually quite proud of my uniqueness in my family. Out of 8 kids, I was born in SA and 1 brother in WA when my father was in the SAS. |

My friend and I snuck in that pub one night when we were down here for state championships for pony club when we were about 15. The Sports were playing there, I used to really like them and when I saw them playing we snuck in. My only time in the pub though. But it used to be a good band venue from all reports. |
I had to choose between the Tarmac and the old Brooklyn Speedway (aka Melbourne Speedbowl). Needless to say, I never did get to see a band. _________________ Whale
