How about you stop being serious for a couple of seconds? | Oh took the words right out of my keyboard.
Dandenong is a blight on this nation it's an absoloute disgrace.
I lived in Rowville for 15 years, it's generally a very nice area, however as it is close to Dandenong, it does have a few creeping over.
Berwick is a nice area however as David said is a bit from the city, as is where I live now in Cranbourne North. Where we are is actually a nice part of Cranbourne however I do prefer to tell people I live in Narre Warren South. _________________ The black & white jumper, worn by heroes worshipped by millions. |

Cranny was fine 18 years ago when I left, but one of the reasons I left there was because of the new pub they had planned, that was way too close to my house. I didn't want drunks sleeping on my front lawn! Wonder if thats what is happening now at my old place. _________________ Kaylene.

Live in Lynbrook at the moment which is pretty much between Dandenong and Cranny. Not a bad area in that its pretty clean and we have just had a half decent shopping centre built near us.
Have lived in Brunswick and Noble Park in my youth which at that time, were complete Sh#t Holes. Not sure what they are like now.
Have also lived in Bundoora and South Oakleigh which I actually liked both suburbs. Clean and quiet are my ideal suburns where people pretty much keep to themselves. |

I grew up in Mt Waverley, nice green leafy suburb, family home was sold 10 years ago after my father died. The whole demographic of the place is different now.
During my RAAF days, i lived in Laverton, Point Cook, and Sunshine. Only knew RAAF people there and so it was a pretty closed community, although the Tarmac Hotel had some great bands playing.
Lived in Ferntree Gully after returning to Melbourne and have lived in Boronia for the past 14 1/2 years. Live in a quiet cul de sac, with mostly nice neighbours although i like to keep pretty much to myself. Where i live is on the border of Ferntree Gully, Wantirna South and Boronia. The suburb is nice and i like being able to look out at the dandenongs from my place.
Other parts of the suburb are called Bro-nya lol _________________ Jacqui © Proud Pies 2003 and beyond |

My friend and I snuck in that pub one night when we were down here for state championships for pony club when we were about 15. The Sports were playing there, I used to really like them and when I saw them playing we snuck in. My only time in the pub though. But it used to be a good band venue from all reports. _________________ "whaaa whaaaaaa! |

Just spent 4 days in Olinda. Very nice.
Spent one day in and around the Melbourne area. How you folks put up with living in that place is beyond me. Very happy to be back home listening to the birds sing and the absolute lack of traffic noise, sirens, drunks etc, etc. |

I live in Watsonia, dead end street; no thru traffic and a park next door.
In the warmer weather I can sit out the back deck and look into the park or watch rainbow lorikeets attack the plum trees down the back or the seed stations I have out for them.
Peaceful, quiet, similar to the bush where I grew up but only 10 minute walk to the train station or 5 minutes in the car to the start of the western ring road at greensborough.
Since leaving the bush and moving to Melbourne when I was 19, I lived in a flat in Hawthorn (just near what was then the Auburn Hotel) and in Camberwell and I would trade either for here. The only thing missing is a Pub in walking distance, the RSL doesn't do it for me.
Anyone interested in renting so I can move to Port Douglas to live? _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |
