Talk about an exciting player with a very bright future.
Consider this as a possible future forward line:
Rocca, Cloke and Cox. With Dick, Medhurst and Didak crumbing. Now that would be a sight to behold.
Collingwoods going to be playing finals football for many years to come. _________________ A Collingwood supporter since the egg was inseminated. |

Coxs future, to me, looks like a "Mr Dependable" type of footballer who will always do the 1%ers, week in week out. He will beat his opponent everyweek and backup up his teammates. He will be ignored by the Media and opposition fans and scare the @#$% out of his opponents and opposition coaches. _________________ Carlscum 120 years being cheating scum |

He had stints in the ruck, relieving Josh. He went off later in the game with an injury issue - saw him trying to run it out on the boundary.
He did okay in the ruck. Nothing special, but not badly either.

I think he played a lot of his junior career in the ruck. |

Was no more than a makeshift ruckman. We made the right call going small. Kosi and Rix had very little impact in the wet conditions...actual ruck contests were quite irrelevant with the masses of numbers around the ball.
Cox out of everyone is probably the one who will struggle to hold his spot once Clement and Presti return _________________ There's more to life than footy.........just not much more. |

You might be right but I think Cox will hold his spot in the team due to his flexibility. When Presti is available he'll only put pressure on Wakes, as I can't see us playing both Wakes and Presti. |

Agree, i thought Cox is a great option in such games though. Didnt do much non-ruck work today but the injury would have been related to that...but in games we dont want to go in with two ruckmen, Cox is a more than serviceable option.....forget dinky little taps...smash it forward, thats the way Coxy.
Im not sure he will be first to go though when Presti and Jimmy come back...im tipping it will be Wakes. However Wakes is in such great form, i find it very difficult to believe that come finals time Wakes won't be played ahead of Cox. |

Shannon did well yesterday and gave Josh some much needed relief in the ruck.
I am glad Mick did not resort to Ben Reid, while he would make an excellent Ruckman and has already shown good signs down at WIlliamstown as a relief Ruck, it is still a bit too early and his frame is too light. _________________ "MAKE COLLINGWOOD GRATE AGAIN" |

I thought Coxy was outstanding last week in more of a midfield role so it was disappointing to see him used the way he was today. He got so little game time when not rucking that I wonder why we dropped Guy in the first place. Cox should stay in the side next week. _________________ "He is a loathsome brute, yet I cannot look away." |

What a bloody leap he has on him. What's his contract situation? Loved the way he moved in traffic in the midfield last week. Reckon he's going to be a special talent for us over the next decade. |
