IMO Alan Didak has the makings of Peter Daicos and Des Fothergill. Yes a lot of expectation but Didak oozes class, has short stock legs and thus a low centre of gravity and has penetration and depth in his disposal.
Is he Peter Daicos the second?

Bill Twomey was meant to be the Mark Waugh of VFL football. A natural talent who appeared effortless in his play and skills.

Hey Rohan, having idolised Peter Daicos as a kid, I see Didak as potentially just as good, and the likeness is unbelieveable!!! He oozes class and appears to have all the skill of Daicos, he is even possibly more strong in the overhead marking stakes, and probably a yard quicker but he is definitely.................THE SECOND DAICOS!!!

I tend to agree that Didak is a lot like Daicos. I think Daicos's skill level was a bit higher but Didaks long licking is something Daic's never had

Hi guys...my first post on this site.
Just on Didak. His contract expires at the end of the year and he has a girlfriend in SA. We need to snap him up quick smart. We don't need another Davis scenario.

Noooooooo......!!!!!!!
Just saw an interview with Dids on ch10 news.
First thing the interviewer stated was "mising his family in Adelaide" !!!!
That was in reference to last season, but we need his signature now. I don't want to go through that whole Mr N.Davis thing again.

Just a short note
Was talking to Eddie McGuire and Eugene Arocca
Re - This exact thing at the 1st intra club on 14th Feb
when Daks kicked 5 so to me the Carlton game was NO FLUKE!!!
Eugene assured me that he will be contracted through Alex McDonald for at leat the next 2 years as soon as contract matters come to hand i.e END OF SEASON if not before

Losing Davis will be nothing next to losing Dids. It is harrowing just thinking about it.
Goodbye Dolly I must leave you, though it breaks my heart to go,
Something tells me I am needed at the front to fight the foe,
See - the soldier boys are marching and I can no longer stay,
Hark - I hear the bugle calling, goodbye Dolly Gray.
GOOD OLD COLLINGWOOD FOREVER, WE KNOW HOW TO PLAY THE GAME,
SIDE BY SIDE WE STICK TOGETHER, TO UPHOLD THE MAGPIES NAME.
SEE THE BARRACKERS SHOUTING, AS ALL BARRACKERS SHOULD,
OH, THE PREMIERSHIP'S A CAKEWALK FOR THE GOOD OLD COLLINGWOOD |

I know Eugene Arocca stated last season on Fromtheouter.com that Dids would sign a new contract for the pies. But I heard all these things with N Davis. The longer the year goes without Alan putting pen to paper, the less a chance he is of staying.
If he comes out and states that he would like to wait until the end of the year, it doesn't really give me too much confidence.
This guy is an out-and-out champion, as Nick will also prove to be. Losing the both of them within a period of 12 months would put a whole in our side.
