no, the mods haven't put me on notice.
like a damn fool i decided that i could defy gravity and fell from the top of a 6 foot ladder.
Result? severely droken wrist that require "plates" to fix.
Sent me home tonight with some powerful drugs because i'm in a littl pain. couple of days in hospital starting tommorow hopefully.
so, i'll be quiet for a few days, no doubt this will please a few! |

Thank you all.
tess, with these drugs it doesn't hurt at all!
Seriously though, the op took 2 hours after they said 45 mins tops and the surgeon described the bones as looking like a violet crumble.
No work for 6 to 12 weeks. Not allowed to drive until the doc gives me a medical clearance.
I may just end up a little stir crazy.
Nice to be back home though. |

You should really rethink that avatar, everytime I see it I assume you're a girl in her early teens. _________________ There is just one team we favour... |

I would advise anyone to have staples over stitches.
The removal of them is much easier than thread. |

Healing nicely, but 4 weeks after the op, I still cannot lift much more than a tissue box with it. Only got about 5 cms deflection up and down. Getting a bit worried.

It probably takes time. I've had a few bones broken playing cricket & footy. Probably took, in one case of my little pinky, eight months before I could bend and straighten it to 90% of what it did before. takes time, especially for us old farts. |
