Will this young ball magnet be around in the collingwood colours next year? Or is he going to be another waste of talent that will be a good VFL footballer i hope he is retained on the list but if mick isnt going to play him. It may be best for both parties to delist him amd make room for a player that they will give a fair go to. he should do a preseason somewhere else to see how he goes what do you guys think. _________________ SHACK THE BEST IN AND UNDER PLAYER AT THE CLUB |

I am fairly sure he will be given one more season. It must be very annoying for him to get only a few minutes of game time (where he did impress) and then get benched and dropped. He wouldn't get much confidence out of that. I feel sorry for him, but I suspect that he will get another season to prove himself. He is good in and under and tackles well, and we do need some grunt so why not keep him? |

Going into his third year if he stays. Struggles to adjust to the pace of AFL. I would say he is 50/50 being at the club next year. Good kid, strong attitude may go in his favour. |

It's been said he had an attitude problem at the beginning of the year but apparently addressed it, and behaved like a boy scout when Tess and the mob took him (and Kingy) out for dinner a few weeks ago. Rhyce Shaw himself admitted to his own attitudinal problems during his first three years with the club (for just four games) and, to his credit, not only did something about it but is counselling Brayden and Heath to not fall into the same trap. If Shaw can receive an opportunity to remedy his problem, then Shacks should get a chance to do the same. I have no idea if he's on a 2- or 3-year contract, but if he is out of contract this year, I'd give him a 1-year deal and tell him it is "make or break" time. I like the kid's style and can see him becoming a very useful player. It would be a shame to see him picked up by another club and play well for them, whereas he could be doing it for us, but for that chance. _________________ Glory Glory Good Old Collingwood, Glory Glory Hallelujah,

True. He is behind what most three year players are at. But he is better then what he has shown. |

Shack will get 2005 to prove how he can play - and hopefully after a very disciplined pre season that could set him up for a very big 2005.
If they can give Shaw 3 seasons there is no valid reason why Shack cannot get 1 - although the Rupe factor still exists. |

Why? Wasn't Lokan a good example?
I feel for him because he has been hard done by. At least he can say he did play AFL. |

Maybe. It wouldn't be the best influence on Shacks. Although Luke had a better season the Lokan. |

What? Even though Shacks only played one game? |

Errr Tess
1st poll - 64% Willi player
3rd poll - 16% Shackleton, 37% Cloke, 21% King
So really, only 16% of 64% of voters were in fact behind Shack. That makes, um, hmmm, 7 people all up. Maybe if you had told him that he might of got his arse into gear _________________ Get back on top. |
