Reckon I might give it a miss this week, if we get say, two goals down, against the Blooz, all hell will break loose, from the usual suspects, so might take a time out, leave them to it. !

In light of Ash Johnston closing his social media accounts, those on the match day thread need to consider their comments on individual players.
Not the ones asking or making insight to why a player is down on form, it's the banal and unintelligent vitriolic sprays that proffer nothing to the discussion.
Some might say Nick's / social media is over umpired, but if those posters are left to run their internal monologues on social media unchecked are those that will soon step over the line and bring us to defending our own. For the same reasoning, unbridled vitriol towards players or other posters is why people stay away from the site.
If that carry on was done in the outer or a social situation then they'd soon find themselves socially ostracised, perhaps why they're left to doing it from behind a keyboard in the first place.
Be better.

Like listening to my late father when we were down in a game. It used to drive me mad, so we'd listen or watch in different parts of the house to avoid a barney. That, or he'd go outside and weed the lawn or something whilst pacing up and down!

This isn't a Mod post, just my own.
But that's horsesh#t. The vitriol against our own is equivalent what an opposition supporter would throw at us.
The postings offer no insight to the game, it's low mentality dog whistling, it goes on every week, I'm happy to call it out for what it is, and it's not support. It reflects more on the poster than anything. I'll happily take in some constructive criticism of what's going on out on the field, or do it with some wit, but this ain't it.
