Pat Cummins is a warm fave for the AB Medal. It would be his second.
Test player of the year will be between Cummins and Khawaja.
Ash Gardner should win the Belinda Clarke Award. _________________ Donny.

I wonder if they'll give Kohli the one-day award in this, as well. |

It's a bit of an embarrassment that Special K was named World Test Men's Player of the Year but got beaten for the spot as best Australian Test Men's player of the year. |

Batter Stats 'for the period relevant to the 2023 Allan Border Medal'
Marsh 1638 runs, ave. 58.50
Warner 1579 runs, ave. 38.51
Marnus 1672 runs, ave. 40.78
Maxwell 529 runs, ave. 58.78
FTB Smith 1377 runs, ave. 36.24
Khawaja 1062 runs, ave 42.48
Head 1638 runs, ave. 42.00
(Cricket Australia)
'[Marsh] also tallied 594 runs at 66 in just six Test matches - the only member of Australia’s top six to average better than 50 in that time.
Marsh’s comeback century on day one of the Headingley Test, taking on the high pace of Mark Wood after the loss of early wickets, was one of the most thrilling innings played in 2023 - although its solo nature told another tale.
There were unquestionably some mediocre Test returns elsewhere in the order. While Usman Khawaja maintained a solid record at the top..., none of Steve Smith, Travis Head, Marnus Labuschagne, Warner, Cameron Green or Alex Carey could average better than 39.'
