We've been treated to some superlative individual innings, and results, lately.

Maxy's astonishing double ton, to bring up a fairytale win, in an ODI World Cup match.

Travis Head's WC Final century.

His earlier whirlwind ton.

Yesterday, in Shield. Sam Harper's 64 ball century, after coming in with Victoria teetering on 5/67. He went on to score 151 with 9 sixes.

Last night. Maxy again. A 47 ball ton to get Oz over the line.

Harper's innings was the fastest for Victoria and the third fastest overall, in SS history.

It was also the second fastest 150 ever, in Shield.

Harper's 64-ball ton – bettered only by South Australia's David Hookes (35 balls) and Western Australia's Luke Ronchi (51) – was rendered even more remarkable by dint of the difficult batting conditions and the match situation that saw Victoria on the precipice at 5-67 when he went to the wicket.
