Yeah, but sometimes needs to control his emotions better.
Clear dissent after the other (lesser) Jezza's boundary mark. Could cost a GF. |

Our only true warrior imo. In the mould of 'Pants' Millane and Tuddy.
You need at least one like him to win a Premiership. |

Theoretically possible but realistically not likely in finals because the discipline factor would be very high. Bruz needs to watch videos of Pants and play with the same passion. Pants scared opponents but mostly legally.
He could also watch Murray Weideman, Tuddy and Hooker Harrison. _________________ I term the current Collingwood attack based strategy “Unceasing Waves” like on a stormy and windy day with rough seas. A Perfect Storm ☔️ |

He also choked Stengle during an altercation.
That’s what I want to see our players do to Nick Daicos’s taggers. Couldn’t care less if it costs us a free kick against either. _________________ Est. 2002 |

I understand that. He's a passionate player that wears his heart on his sleeve. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023

Speaking of Maynard, he'll be filling in as captain tomorrow night. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023

They should build a brick wall at the top of the race in place of the banner tonight and have Bruzz burst through that. |

Or the old country footy yarn where the Captain asked for the bolts on the changeroom door to be loosened enough so he could burst through after his pre-match address to get the boys fired up.
Then only to learn later that they actually forgot to do it but he runs through it anyway. The same result, the inspired players went out and smashed the opposition. _________________ "The Club's not Jock, Ted and Gerry" (& Eddie)

Good mate of mine, quite senior at one of the other Afl clubs laments the fact that they don’t have anyone on their list like Maynard - says you need someone who is genuinely hard at it, and who intimidates fairly. Says Maynard’s worth is not appropriately realised. Just love the bloke _________________ Dispatches from a foreign land |

I think you'd struggle to find one Pies supporter who doesn't value Maynard or underappreciate him. _________________ "The Club's not Jock, Ted and Gerry" (& Eddie)

I agree - he is a 'heart and soul' type of player. Tough and skillful and given to desperate acts that can lift a team. _________________ I think therefore I think - I think |
