We were behind for most of the match. Fritsch and others playing well for Melbourne.
I forgot that glorious Pies goal from the last quarter. 2:16 remaining in the clock… a fantasy team goal. Has to be one of the best team goals by the Pies. |
Thanks for that. Had a good chuckle over Pendles fake out in that fantasy team goal |

Grundy still talking himself up, saying he’s going to get stuck into Pendles. Lol |

If the illness means the players mentioned then ill bring in the likes of McRae,Carmicheal and Allan.

Shots fired at Pies after Goodwin’s Grundy call
"Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin has fired a pointed barb at Collingwood ahead of Brodie Grundy’s first game against his former team, declaring the ruckman has come to a club that values him.
...
Goodwin stirred the pot at his pre-game press conference on Friday when he made three unprompted references to Grundy being better appreciated at the Demons than he was down the road at Magpies headquarters. Though he stopped short of saying Grundy’s work was not valued by the Pies, the inference was clear." |
Melbourne has resorted to psychological warfare. First they are playing the Collingwood chant at their training sessions (presumably to inure their players to a menacing environment) and now an attempt to rattle Fly. Sounds like they are lacking confidence about this game.
Goodwin to me has always seemed to be a guy more than willing to resort to low tactics. |

Not sounding good with the illnesses. Reported that Jordy allegedly had covid so fingers crossed. Whoever runs on the park I hope they go 101% — they can have a rest with the bye. |

Anybody who doesn't go 101% should be given a rest after the bye.
I wouldn't be allowing complacency manifest in any form, not for a player wanting to retain his spot, to maintain the position we have put ourselves in. _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

Nick is fine by comparison but Josh has been a bit crook through the week.
Apparently the club even denied Nick missed a sportsman’s night because of illness. |

I was more referring to our chaos footy, which we can’t sustain the whole season. This week is the perfect time to turn it back on, given the bye next. |

Nick trained today by all reports. So did Cox, Maynard, Beau, WHE and Johnson so they should be all fine. No Josh however.
McStay and Elliott didn't participate in the match sim so potentially will be given until after the bye unless we're keeping Melbourne guessing (and the rest of us). _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

JDG is a big out, but nevertheless, I expect us to win comfortably, and establish a 4 game lead in the top 2. That's an amazing feat if it turns out that way.
