Think Labor narrowly gets a majority.
Obviously hoping for a tighter result and a repudiation of Andrews. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

The wash up will be interesting, however it plays out.
I don't believe the polls, this could go anywhere, but my fondest hope is that Andrews loses his own seat. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Threepeat Dan the Man is just about to claim victory (or announce a fresh lockdown). He’s governing with a comfortable majority. |

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-11-27/victoria-election-daniel-andrews-labor-win-liberal-party-loss/101703068
Quote: | Victorian Labor Premier Daniel Andrews has secured a third term of majority government in an emphatic victory which delivered an electoral disaster to the Liberal Party.
The ABC has projected Labor will win more than 45 seats, and could come close to the 55-seat majority it enjoyed during its second term in power.
Addressing the Labor faithful on Saturday night, Mr Andrews declared that "hope always defeats hate" and suggested critics who accused him of dividing the state during his government's controversial handling of the COVID-19 pandemic had been proven wrong.
"We were instead united in our faith in science and in our faith and care for and in each other," he said.
....
Monash University senior politics lecturer Zareh Ghazarian said the result was a clear "vindication" of the Andrews's government.
"Voters have resoundingly given his government the thumbs up for not only the future agenda that they promoted during the campaign and before the campaign but also in terms of the way in which the pandemic was managed," Dr Ghazarian said. |

The ALP has already won 50 seats. There are 8 seats in doubt (plus Narracan, where voting did not proceed and a fresh election will be required). The ALP is leading in 6 of those 8 seats, so there is a real prospect Andrews has been returned with an increased majority.
Enjoy! |

A little disappointed the Greens didn’t win more (at some point last night it looked like they might have increased their lower house numbers from 3 to as many as 8, but at this stage it’s looking more likely they’ll end up on 4). Main interest now will be the legislative council. Things are looking somewhat encouraging on that front: https://amp.abc.net.au/article/101703326 _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |
