Likely to be quite wet so Carmichael may be the best bet for Medical-sub. _________________ Firm in the belief that number 17 flag is only months away... |

The inspirational, ever-consistent and disciplined Howe will be a loss, make no mistake. But few players are more deserving of a breather. Q and co, this is your time to flex your leadership muscles in his stead.
This upcoming stretch of games will be a test of discipline and resolve. For the ambitious, every game is a danger game. The hysteria about our club will ever be the case; what we can control sits between our own ears. The key is not to be sucked into over-reacting and expending too much energy in retaliation to that hysteria instead of pacing ourselves according to our own rhythm.
Over to you lads; this season has proven that you're as good as you want to be each week.
Jordy, well done son on returning in your own time. Rest assured that you're surrounded by quality people, your coach foremost among them. The media parasites, bottom feeders and hypocrites will always be ready to pounce, but the rest of us have your back. Let go of getting down on yourself for mistakes and enjoy your football. The rest will follow as you work to make your teammates better.

I’m so excited for this game, ladder wise it could be huge, and I reckon this team with a coach who really believes in them but doesn’t put up with crap, I reckon he will have them fighting for their own destiny. I’m loving our playing style this year, I’m loving the coaches, all of them, their encouragement and enthusiasm. The freedom he has given them to not be afraid to take the game on instead of sticking to set plans.
As for media attention, take the good with the bad, the sheer number of Collingwood supporters (and dead set haters) means anything Collingwood is news. Meh, better to be talked about than to be invisible and forgotten! Stand up and be counted, that’s the only way to win at that game!

Goldy has had over an inch of rain in the last 24hrs, every race meeting in Queensland abandoned and more to come today.
7 goals will win this, Pies by 5 points.
Under 128 points game total @ $2.80 is the bet of the day. _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |

Our injury list helps too … it has been a long time since we've mainly had a steady side to settle in, and fine tune week to week.
Having said that, we have also been through a tough trot, and yet still performed admirably, so either way, not taking too much away. It's been good.
Last time we played them, we had just lost Krugs and Grundy. Begg did some nice things, but was his first game. Both Browns were playing.
This time around, a notable change is longer reach Cox rucking with Nick Daicos, and Jordy in the centre. Clearly an area of strength for GC, hopefully mitigated. |

Bit more impetus on today’s game with the Saints getting up last night. Gonna be a squeeze for 7-8. _________________ It's never as good/nor bad as it seems... |

Yeah Piff it's certainly made things tighter, with the Saints getting up.
I thought last week was an important one, well here's another.
So glad JDG is good to go. Coach knows that good things happen when Jordy's around the ball.

What a superb comment - astute and inspirational. Hope that someone within the club's inner circle finds this and quotes it to the players, especially JDG! |

bombers getting up a useful development! Rob’s some points from Sydney - but maybe if they get some confidence it makes them a little harder to beat when we play them again… pretty good season shaping up if you’re a genera footy fan. _________________ It's never as good/nor bad as it seems... |
