Magnificent play off a turnover by Fowler, with a magnificent deep pass to McMahon, who goals. |

McMahon moving quite freely. Doesn't seem bothered by the ankle now. |

And that's 3/4 time. 'Pies lead 88 to 83.
Goals: Fowler 4, McInnes, Tardrew 2 apiece, Wellings, Harrison, McMahon, C Brown, Murley and Wilson 1 each.
Disposals: C Brown and Tardrew 20, Hustwaite 19, Poulter 17.
6-goal quarter (to 4 goals). Tardrew BOG by a mile, at this stage.
The umpiring standard needs to improve - a Hawk was caught cold HTB at CHB, called play on and they kicked their 13th off the rebound.
Brown's 50-mettre goal on the run and his follow-up work for Murley's goal is the difference between a lead and being behind.
Whatever Kelly is, he's not a backman. He has something approaching no idea at all (not to say he can't play - but he just gets in all the wrong spots for a KPD and defends to all the wrong places). |
