^ It was obviously written straight after he had both his second quarter kicks. And certainly before his brilliant cameo in the midfield cost Footscray 5 goals in about a minute and a half of elapsed time (no, that's not hyperbole - watch the 7th, 8th, 10th, 11th and 12th Melbourne goals) and ended the match effectively as a contest. |

Rene Kink = 5 losing GFs, including one with Essendon in 1983.
Wonder if there's anyone out there who surpasses that record? _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |

I'm happy for COLL to keep paying Treloar's part of the contract if it means the Bullflogs lose even more GFs!!! _________________ WE WERE ROBBED, RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME, RIGHT IN FRONT OF MEEE!

From that moment, you knew Melbourne could not lose. Never have so many goals been kicked from direct centre breaks by so many against so little physical opposition. Melbourne went at better than a goal every 2 minutes of elapsed playing time for the remainder of the game. The magnificent drop of the head with 8 minutes and 23 seconds to play (no seriously, how do you lose two centre clearances in 17 seconds in a Grand Final?) in the third summed up his style - "When the going gets tough, the tough get going. When the tough get going, you really, really, really, need someone else."
"Why the sudden turnaround? Is there a reason for it?", asks BT. Here's a hint BT - during the last 9 minutes of the third quarter, Treloar was in the middle for a total of 1 minute and 25 seconds of elapsed time, during which Melbourne scored 5 goals.

ah i knew you posted this! Nathan brown agrees with you, he played the three centre passes, but it was just treloar, in fact i think you can blame the coach _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

I wonder about the criteria when Treloar is ranked higher than a guy who kicked 6 goals. _________________ How would Siri know when to answer "Hey Siri" unless it is listening in to everything you say? |

Fritsch was ranked 6th, just ahead of Salem. |

I think you can ignore it as unmitigated drivel. |

Bump.
^ Yes, it was unmitigated drivel - the Gary Ayres Medal votes for the game saw Fritsch receive 8 and Treloar not a sausage. The leaderboard records the votes for the top 23 in the 2021 finals. Treloar isn't on the list. 7 other Footscray players are. See: https://aflcoaches.com.au/awards/gary-ayres-award-best-finals-player/leaderboard/2021/20210127
As for 2022, he didn't get a single vote in the Gary Ayres Medal . Three other Footscray mids (Bontempelli, Macrae and Dunkley) did. |

Treloar is currently the all time leader for average disposals, handballs and contested possessions at Collingwood.
The only player Collingwood player to average 30+ possessions. The only Collingwood players to average more than 15 handballs. The only player with 12+ contested possessions.
He is second all time in clearances and third all time in tackles.
As far as spuds go, he's statistically a better player than Buckley and Pendlebury. _________________ Fighting against the objectification of woman. |

Take out the 47 handballs backwards turning the ball over to the opposition after running the ball to centre half back and his stats give a truer picture of his abject worthlessness. A less acceptable Collingwood player I can scarcely recall. It speaks volumes that his disposal stats are (you say) better than Buckley's and Pendlebury's but he's still not worthy to clean the boots of either of them.
What do you do with a useless potato that manages to average 19 handballs per game in a season? The only stat that ever mattered with Treloar was "overpaid and overrated player impacting least in a serious contest in a big game". He wins that one hands down. Career highlight: 7 kicks, 15 backwards handballs in a cut-throat Preliminary Final. $£$%^%%$ little %$^%$£$%. |

well that shows statistics are a waste of time! |
And how many of those kicks on average dribbled pathetically along the carpet?
He was going very well until the double hamstring disaster against carlton in mid 2018; just another footy god injury debacle to help train wreck our premiership assault _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

Footscray B&F just concluded. Treloar finished outside the top 6 (haven't seen the tally but they announced 6 through to 1, individually). Dunkley won - and is, of course, leaving. |
