Post subject: Adam in the GFReply with quote

On AFL 360 on Tuesday night Adam Treloar was asked about the 2018 Grand Final. He said that the loss still hurts and always will. He referred to Collingwood as "we". He then smiled and corrected himself.

How will we feel if the Bulldogs win the Grand Final and we watch Adam Treloar receive a premiership medal? I, for one, wish him well. He never wanted to leave Collingwood and was a very good player who gave his all, in my opinion.

Feel a bit meh, but good luck to him.

Not the first and won't be the last player to leave a club and then go on to win a premiership with another.

I'll be less thrilled than I was for Luke Ball.

Certainly is a 'beat up'. Our pea brain Premier loves being in the spotlight.

Well he is really going to have to play out of his skin, to take down Oliver and Petracca. It's going to be brutal in the middle on saturday.

Post subject: Grand Final DayReply with quote

Well another year where it doesn't feel like Grand final day. Normally by this time I'm really excited setting up everything in the carport area, big screen tv, sound system, tables, eskies, munchies, heaters if needed and BBQ.

Normally have around 20-30 people turn up I have raffles and prizes organised, my favourite day of the year.

Even with covid stuffing it up meaning no visitors and being in WA instead of the "G" I still would be excited but the thing I hate the most? Having to wait until tonight for the game to start if effing shits me. So no setting up outside no feelings of excitement at all. I would still do my normal stuff without visitors just on a smaller scale but being a night final I will just stay inside and watch it.

Next year had better be a bloody day Grand Final or I will spew!

Same feelings here. Night grand final just doesn't work for me. Staying at home and not going to the usual shindig with the mates is disappointing. We have still organised to have the usual betting on the game via email instead of in person. Bets include 1 st goal , total frees , how many score reviews , norm smith , who is in front in each quarter etc etc . We only play for a wooden trophy a mate knocked up in his shed . The home made pie eating comp is on hold this year. Next year will hopefully be different with no restrictions on visitation and Craig McRae will have his first shot at being a premiership coach.
