I just hope our players put up a good fight. I fear that with no finals to fight for, with no coach for next year, and with so much uncertainty about the direction of our club, that the players might throw in the towel, even unconsciously. To be honest I saw some signs of that last week. |

Yep. Add in a bunch of very tired and sore kids and an opposition with plenty to play for, it becomes the perfect storm. |

My fear too. Also a few players wouldn’t be human if they hadn’t considered better options for next year. I reckon a few will go through the motions while a few of the youngsters will play their hearts out to impress for permanent senior positions. A mixed bag awaits however I cannot see us winning this. _________________ Don't confuse your current path with your final destination. Well we have the wallabies playing at 4 o'clock
That should be interesting.
That will be the curtain raiser for the pies match.
But the highlight of me being a couch potato this week in lockdown was the storm winning 18 in row.
Could someone do some research ....has the pies ever done that???? |

Pies have won 20 games in a row Semi final 1928 to round 18 1929,
geelong with the most 23 games 1952 -1953
I believe that is right, but I am happy to be corrected! _________________ Cheers big ears |

Last week not so bad, after Hawks win again over Dogs.
Clarkson should have been re-signed.
Mitchell will take them backwards before they go forwards again. _________________ Social club member 7342 since 2000. |

That's right.
Geelong (1952-1953) = 23
Collingwood (1928-1929) = 20
Essendon (2000) = 20
Brisbane (2001-2002) = 20 _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |
