What has John Noble done to deserve being dropped? Bit rough. |

and why not Reef McInnes? |
McInnes was never going to debut. Not even 19 yet, played something like 5 / 6 competitive games in the last two seasons, had just come back from a two month foot injury and was average at best in his last VFL game.
If McInnes played, it would have been the equivalent of playing one short.
Surely the reporter simply stuffed up. He wouldn’t be the first one.
Noble is a surprise but the haters will enjoy some high ground at last.
And with Quaynor out too, it’s even more surprising. |

Is Noble out of contract?
Just asking because if so, maybe he’s on his way out and possibly has played his last game for the Pies?
Surprised he’s been left out. There must be a reason. _________________ Beware the swooping Magpie. |

Mate... seriously? First of all no, he's still contracted, but he has been a mainstay of the team for a couple of years. He gets left out for one game and you think it's career over? Come on, he could be fatigued, have a niggle, have a secret mistress about to give birth.. there are plenty of reasons he could be out without jumping to conclusions. |

With Howe out and Quaynor not playing again till 2022 there must be some undisclosed injury to John Noble or sheer fatigue (Poulter was rested when his track work was deemed lacklustred thru fatigue) —honestly we won’t know
But with that trio out it looks a brittle backline _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

I’m expecting the same as last week, a fair bit of “season’s over” half efforts followed by “we’d better look like we’re trying” genuine effort |

Presuming Noble will be the sub (surely he wouldn’t be named as an emergency if he was injured or being rested), so maybe Harvey’s just trying something different with him. Of course there’s no guarantee he gets on the park… _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

mystifying that we should leave John Noble out. I didn't watch the Hawthorn game, so can't comment on his form in this one, but even if it were bad, he has built up so many credits already that I would never have considered omitting him...and especially as P2016 observed, under conditions where IQ is unwell and unable to play.
We have lost not one but two speed kings now, and those coming in (Murphy, Daicos and Bianco) are not in any way endowed with this asset.
How do we intend to rebound out of Defensive 50 now? (Recalling that Howe isn't playing either).
Yep, hard to understand what the plan in our defensive structures now is. We won't have much ability to move the ball and break the lines from HB.
Sorry, never usually make a prediction against us, but cannot see even a remote chance here. Brisbane to win by 23 points, taking their foot off the accelerator in the last quarter in order to avoid injuries. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

It seems a bizarre decision to omit Noble in the same week Quaynor will also be missing through illness.
Harvey staking his claim for a place in the Collingwood pool room for truly head scratching selections before his departure? _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

We should have beaten these bastards last time, led all day, lost it post the siren, by one lousy point. That was down here tho, up there on their pissing ground, with the finals for them, they wont want to stumble here. Howe is a big loss, and Noble is puzzling, but the team looks OK, and no doubt will have a red hot go, but go down by around eleven points, i just cant see us winning up there, not with the Lions sniffing finals. If Moore, quaynor, Pendles and Howe were in, wed win, but they arent, so we cannot do it. Just put up a big effort boys, give it ur best. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.
