Jess Fox missed out on her dream of "completing the set". She missed gold but picked up bronze. She has one more event in these games.
Tomorrow morning, we have Ariarne Titmus part II. She's strong favourite to add the 200m title. |

Been enjoying the games so far.
Keen to see the Boomers get a medal.
Felt really weird watching the skateboarding, I cant believe it's an Olympic sport. Made me feel a little depressed as they're all so young and that's all I used to do when I was a kid. I'm glad there's a womens competition too. That's come a long way.
Loved seeing Owen Wrights reactions after winning a bronze in the surfing. It's really weird to see how different athletes react to winning a bronze/silver. Some are jubilant whilst others are disappointed. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

In the tennis, both Barty (first round) and Osaka (today) lost. The women's gold must be wide open now... |

Tomorrow, Kyle Chalmers (son of Brett, who infamously was barred from playing for Collingwood) tries to defend his 100m free title.
His odds have blown out a little. His SF swim was quite scratchy. US superstar Caleb Dressel is favourite. |

Dressel pipped Chalmers for the gold in an OR. Chalmers equalled his PB in getting silver.
Later, the Oz women's 4x200m relay team could only manage bronze, with China taking both the gold and Oz's WR.
Earlier, Oz's Zac Stubblety-Cook came from behind to win gold in the 200m breaststroke.
And Jessica Fox finally got the gold medal, in the C1 canoe! |

"Australia's Emma McKeon has won the gold medal and compatriot Cate Campbell the bronze in the women's 100-metres freestyle at the Tokyo Olympic Games.
McKeon's triumph gives her a second gold of the Games - she and Campbell were part of Australia's victorious 4x100m freestyle relay team.
McKeon, who has also won two bronze medals in Tokyo, is one medal shy of equalling the record of Ian Thorpe and Shane Gould for most medals by an Australia at a single Olympics, with five.
McKeon won Friday's 100m final in 51.96 seconds followed by Siobhan Haughey (52.27) from Hong Kong and Campbell (52.52)."
