So at least they're tracking them down and getting close contacts to isolate. There should be no need to lock down the state again. |

It was one thing to lock down the state for months while the Feds were paying Jobkeeper to keep businesses afloat. That's gone, there's no safety net.
Anything more than a really short lockdown now should be a last resort if the contact tracing utterly fails. They really won't want to have to do that. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-05-26/covid-case-attended-mcg-afl-match-collingwood-port-adelaide/100165424
Quote: | The Victorian Department of Health tweeted on Tuesday evening that one of the nine positive cases attended the match and was seated in the Great Southern Stand of the ground.
The match was attended by just 23,415 AFL fans despite the AFL allowing the MCG to be up to 85 per cent full of its maximum capacity of 100,024 fans.
Authorities say the fan was seated in zone four, level one of the ground and those who were seated in a bay between M1 and M16 on their match ticket will be contacted directly by the Health Department, with the advice to isolate until they test negative. |

Bloody Collingwood supporters...
But it will be an interesting test, a positive case was at the G last year with over 80,000 and there were no documented cases out of it. |

Quote: | Residents in central Victoria are on alert after the health department identified coronavirus exposure sites in two regional areas.
One of the cases went to the Hairfolk salon in Bendigo on Saturday morning and attended a function at the Axedale Tavern, just east of there, around lunchtime on Sunday.
There are also more cafes and shops listed in Melbourne, including Port Melbourne, Fitzroy, Coburg and Mill Park. |

In Victoria, there were no new local or overseas-acquired cases. There were 10 new community-acquired cases. There are 23 active. 26,180 test results were reported. |

Apparently that 10 new community cases includes the 5 from yesterday arvo. So it's only actually 5 extra new cases. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Interesting, just had a call from the Regional manager of the site I was at yesterday, 1 of the staff who was there yesterday has been ID's as a close contact. So they have to now isolate and get tested. If it comes back Positive we all have to do the same thing. .
The person wasn't in any of the meetings I was in so not worried. See what happens. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |
