I think we should pick him up in the mid season draft.
Would be an upgrade on Mayne across half back if no younger players are ready. _________________ - Side By Side - |

36 years old and...

I can't fathom the reasoning behind this. Even in a mentoring role, you have someone scarred by 2 decades of losing culture. Admired him as a player but he's way past it _________________ Formally frankiboy and FrankieGoesToCollingwood. |

Only a good idea for a club with specific backline injuries contending for the flag. |

He said he’d only play for a team contending for a flag. That ain’t us. _________________ "The night is a very dark time for me" Chaz Michael Michaels |

Hang your head in shame
He played 342 games for a team that won 5 wooden spoons. FIVE
No contender would ever consider him

Would prefer Ablett. But we'll have to wait until next year for that one. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

I thought that he still had a little bit left in him.
Mayne is finished and IF the younger players are not ready then I think that we should at least consider him in a mentoring, experience and back up role.
Basically, if they want to persist with an experienced player across HB, I’d prefer him over Mayne. _________________ - Side By Side -

Always liked Simpson as a player and would be happy to see him in Pies colours. As a short-term option it might not hurt to have him down back to hold things together and mentor some of the younger players coming through, but, as several have mentioned above, his own qualifications rule us out. Otherwise I'd consider it. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |
