You should also add a list of players we've 'topped up' with from other clubs to show as a comparison (with what we traded for them). _________________ All Aboard!! Choo Choo!!! |

There has been no hype about him for years now.
Still living on picking Pendles as a little different.
Go back thru nix and you will see multiple posters that question him.
Starting back in 2013 |

There are a number of players on that list that no recruiter could have foreseen the other issues they had.
i.e. Cursed with injury/Mental health problems/shocking attitude/victim of poor salary cap management.
Then there is also the players still on our list that are yet to prove themselves one way or the other.
That leaves about 7 players on the list that are no longer playing AFL. Were these players that bad or did they just lack the development they needed? |

Scharenberg and Freeman (now Stevo too) that has really hurt us badly. _________________ Social club member 7342 since 2000. |

In one post-draft interview, Hine said they'd drafted good players and "it's now up to development". It sounded like he might be blaming the development coaches for draft picks that didn't work out. |

4 out of 9 top 30 picks can be considered a tick. The rest just not up to AFL standard.
Shaz and Freeman were followed by Cripps and Sheed. That draft set us back 10 years.
I've come to conclusion that Hine has been living off 2004-2009 recruiting for last 10 years. Just as Essendon moved Judkins on after a decade at the selection table, it's probably time to get a fresh set of eyes in this role as well. |

... and Zach Merrett, who is now being chased by several clubs. |

Imagine instead of those three, it was Sheed, Cripps and Naughton. _________________ | 1902 | 1903 | 1910 | 1917 | 1919 | 1927 | 1928 | 1929 | 1930 | 1935 | 1936 | 1953 | 1958 | 1990 | 2010 | 2023 | |
