I think Garry Hocking would be a wonderful caretaker coach.
Those who are bagging Tyler Brown are going to have some serious egg on face.
He locks up that wing with smart defensive positioning and has time when in possession. Going to get bigger and more explosive.
I'd stick with Callum too. It's just confidence atm.
Still gets to most contests and is more than handy at the forward stoppages.
WHE and JT sometimes make me question why I bother turning up, I'd much rather watch them kick off the mid-morning dew.
Magden was good tonight. Covers ground and getting more confident with his skills. Clearly Maxy is playing a mentor role and it is working well. |

Key board warriors who have never played a game of AFL, going ballistic, ending players careers, give me strength ! LOL _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

I agree. We all know it’s over, why stretch out the pain? _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

I agree with the sentiment of this posts title which implies the match committee (I assume there is one at a football club) or the whole football department shift their objectives from winning the premiership this year to building the next team generation. I must say that I walked out of the game a little shell shocked but by the time I got back to the car park I thought that:
1. Despite everything the team is still competitive
2. All the players on the team last night had a go, ability is the problem
3. We have enough good younger players who will form the basis of a good team
4. We need to start the process of building the new team next week
5. If the recruiting has been good then we have the players on the list (and one we will get next year ) who can do the job. We will slip down. I just hope we can do this and remain competitive to avoid the younger players being hammered. _________________ Living in Geelong, barracking for the 'pies! |

Yes play the kids
Too many passengers in current team
It worked in 2018
But Buckley & co won’t do it
So we have to wait

It’s sad and depressing that Collingwood has persistent for a whole decade with a coach who while trying his best is simply not up to it. If his name wasn’t Buckley he would have been told he wasn’t up to it in 2014. _________________ Formerly LeighBrownBrigade |

It’s simply stupid and myopic to have sacrificed a decade to this Eddie experiment. _________________ Formerly LeighBrownBrigade |
