Fox News has this to say Due to Collingwood scoring woe,s in 2020 Ben Brown ,Peter Wright and Cam McCarthy are players who could solve that
problem
Cam McCarthy is on record as saying he would love to play for the Pies _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

McCarthy was a party boy at GC, threw a tantrum and sat out an entire season so he could go to Freo. Finally got to a Freo, which was all he wanted... and he couldn’t be assed. Seriously, do we want that at the club?
Also, many other clubs had scoring problems this season. Shortened quarters and defensive football killed high scores and goal kicking. How many games did we see where a club kicked over 80 points? Cox and JDG were also out for most of the season, Stephenson was out of form and played elsewhere when he was picked, Kelly got injured. The player managers for Brown, McCarth who wrote the FOX article deliberately left all of that out.
I’d get Peter Wright over Brown and McCarthy. That’s who the club should be going hard for. JDG, Cox, Mihocek, Stephenson, Wright, Kelly... THAT is a forward line!
Our scoring problems this season aren’t because of our forwards. It’s our inability to win clearances and move the ball decisively and quickly. So much handballs turned over, kicking backwards, and slow indecisive movement that allowed opposition to press and flood our forwards. |

All valid points on both the league,s and more important OUR,S.
I think Peter a better fit than other two. That said I am also hoping to see how Will Kelly goes with full off season build and if selected give a few games to display if in fact he is a key forward

The question is...
Do we need players for a shot at it in 2021?
Or
Do we need players that will be here beyond '21 and '22?
If you believe we can win the flag in 2021, then we go for 27+ year old players that can fill the gaps in the team for at least one or two seasons.
If you believe we cannot win it next year or even 2022, then we go for younger players/draft picks. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Slow & lacks intensity, I'd prefer Cox |

Do we need gap fillers to win a flag in 2021
We got Jolly & Ball plus Leroy Brown for a short spell which result in a flag
It has been done before _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Brown kicked how many goals is past 3 yrs compared to Wright???
Whoever thinks Wright is a good fit for Pies hasn’t seen him play enough.
Slow & lumbering. There is a reason a fit Wright could not make the GC
team this year at any stage. McCarthy costs us nothing, free hit.
Brown is the one, fits into our team & cheapest key forward on market
who’s kicked 50++ goals more than once. |

No I haven’t seen him play ,well maybe once and yes I’ll conceed
I’m kind of a little exasperated with our forward’s and the kind of supply that comes their way
Let’s hope they get it correct _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Magjack daw is another one we should look seriously at. If his mindset is right, would have a lot of footy left in him. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

While last year WHE signed an extension taking him through until the end of 2022, I'd trade him out in a heartbeat... |
Even if Hoskin-Elliott was traded out with two years to run, his wage would still be in our salary cap until end of 2022 I'd presume?
May as well let him stay and list-clog, as there is a slight chance we haven't seen the best of him, but I'm not optimistic... _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

No, not if the club traded to paid the full salary.
It's what you actually pay that is under the cap. e.g. we paid part of Heater's salary at GWS, so that part we paid was under our cap. |

I've no idea how the clubs actually get together to negotiate those deals in relation to who pays what over how many years; it sounds very complex... _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |
