Got back from my morning walk this morning and found a little surprise in the mailbox, from Collingwood FC.
An A5 size committment certificate with the headline "Together Forever" and the text "in recognition of your valued support and contribution toward the financial strength and independance of the Club during the 2020 Australian Football League season".
Also a lanyard/tie pin and an iron on. I really like the iron on as it has the old left facing Magpie standing on a fence. Just got to figure out what to iron it on to.
Pretty happy with that, the certificate will get framed and hung up.
I elected to let the club keep 100% of my membership fee for 2020, I'm a Legends member, I just figured they already had the money, I didn't feel right asking for some back. I donated to the Magpies Fightback in the mid 80's but lost the sticker I got for that when I threw the wardrobe out.

Glad you got some recognition for your support of the club through difficult times.

Are you able to take a photo of the Certificate and the pin.

You didn't need to cover your surname. We all know it's Magpie.

Great stuff. I’ve given my hard earned Legends membership over too for the same reasons.
Looking forward to getting mine: just hope mine doesn’t have Stuart Magpie on it though 😉

Important paper savings, now that Spicers is not our sponsor.

Perhaps a Commitment Certificate should be sent to Sidebottom, he may need one. Just saying.

Is there anyone else still waiting on this recognition?
I have 4 memberships that I fully donated, and I wasn't expecting anything other than a warm feeling in return, but it would be nice to have something to show for it.
