Watched a Japanese film on Netflix called River's Edge. Has some similarities to the 1986 American film of the same name but isn't a remake. If you're in the mood for something brutal this was pretty well done. _________________ The beatings will continue until moral improves. |

Puff piece but, the respect that people who worked and played with him have for that man is just brilliant.
There's a quote that goes something like "if you're any good you don't need to tell people, they'll tell you" That's Chappelli. He doesn't talk himself up, the people he lead do it for him. |
They had a similar thing about Bill Lawry the week before, it was brilliant. Didn't bother with Cappelli, don't care much for him. |

Re-watched the American River's Edge on Stan today. It still stands up for me. My friends and I were a lot like the metalhead stoners in it, so it resonates with me more than The Breakfast Club and the usual 80s films that people get nostalgic about. _________________ The beatings will continue until moral improves. |

Just streamed The Killing of Two Lovers which is part of this year's Melbourne International Film Festival. It was a low budget indy film about the marital problems of a working class couple in rural America. A typical festival film.

Watched Ford vs Ferrari couple of nights ago, got the old girl to watch it too. She absolutely loved it, I thought it was pretty bloody good. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Was good. The russian accents were a bit (maybe more than a bit) annoying but it's a ripping tale and was really well told. _________________ kill for collingwood! |

Oh OK, Snap.
Haven't been that far south in Vegas other than the airport. That's for next time. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Oh god, I’ve only seen one of those! (Before the Devil Knows You’re Dead, which is pretty good.) Otherwise, the one I’ve heard most raved about is Leave No Trace, which a lot of people I know loved. _________________ All watched over by machines of loving grace |
