^ I seem to recall that Heath was an excellent kick.
And an even better smotherer. _________________ Side by side. |

Wills is 27, so starting to get old from a footballer perspective.
Sier is 23 so he is in the grove age wise. |

Interesting comment on Nine footy show when Checkers was asked on the turn around and I quote

It’s not a big part of my game but I followed what we were told” _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Philips is definitely an omission. He's not getting 25+ touches a game like he used to and isn't making an overwhelming impact. Wills played well enough to earn him another game. I just worry about his disposal, looks very awkward when he kicks and handballs. He does have en-devour which I respect.
Daicos looked red hot against Essendon and controlled an otherwise lackluster midfield so easy swap there I believe.
Cox is blessed with another week, hopefully the dryer conditions can give him something to prove.
De Goey the last in, for Kelly. If Kelly survived the game, Cox would of been in all sorts. _________________ Smoking shadows behind the mirrors - Travis Cloke |

There is a lot to be said for players who always endeavour to run straight down the middle of the ground and kick long. Quaynor brought that to the table Friday night.
Bosenavulagi was very clean in picking up the ball and moving it on with attacking intent- he remained me very much of Graeme Wright with his play.
Given that a few players dramatically lifted their form, Friday's win was very satisfying.
Plaudits to the coaching team for deploying quick and clever players around the field (Varcoe/Quaynor/Stephenson/Elliott/Bosenavulagi).
The trick is to maintain the rage and head West for three very tough games. _________________ Firm in the belief that number 17 flag is only months away... |

On the Wills v Sier debate Sier in our 2018 year was more than good enuf to maintain his spot & was a large contribution to us making GF—he was a tackle maniac but less on acutely using ball to effect
Wills early VFL and prior to AFL inclusion was a very good ball user together with his tackling ( who remembers that 70 meter goal at Vic Park)
I thought Friday his ball use was a fair % better than he had displayed early AFL—-the team was told to “tough up” and wonder whether some individuals were awared their performance must lift ,maybe Rupert one of them _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

As per Warburtons post ^^^
The addition of Quaynor is going to make a positive difference to how we move the ball quickly from defence to attack.
He’s raw, he will make mistakes and he will get tired as the year rolls on but he will be a weapon for many years to come. |

Certainly if it's the current version of Moore. He'll be AA this year. |

I will be interested to see if this continues—-we have a few who are playing under their usual form so will we see some scratch match players who keep playing well get a game _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |
