I thought our goal kicking was marginally better last night. The Hawks conceded a lot of rushed behinds which makes it look worse. If anything we don’t have enough gettable shots on goal for our efforts.
It’s always bothered me especially when commentators comment on how inaccurate sides have been when they haven’t taken into account rushed (or touched) behinds. I’d like to see G. B. R/T = Total |

3.10 in 3quaters against crap opposition in reasonable conditions.
Play like that against the cats we’ll lose by 10 goals |
Not sure about that. One could equally argue that if we play like that in the last 3 quarters then Geelong will score only 6 goals for the entire game (assuming that they are twice as good as the Hawks).
Like you, I didnt like the fact we scored miserably after quarter time. But there were so many positives flowing from the game (far more willingness to move the ball fast, the demonstration of great flexibility and potential unpredictability in our line up through the deployment of Jamie Elliott and Stepho imaginatively, creation of space in our F50, better sync between Grundy and our mids, and espectially the amazing debut of Atu and Will Kelly, as well as the evident elite talent of IQ off half back) was enough to satisfy me that we have loads of upside moving forward. I am really happy with this game, but don't feel any rocks in my head. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

Oh, and by the way, I forgot to mention Rupert Wills. A great game from him. I hope it represents somewhat of a turning point for him. If he maintains that kind of form, he will cement a position in the midfield for himself. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

In the spirit of cleaning up our act RE racism and race relations around the club, just want to point out that every single comment made about Atu has compared him to another black player. Not the biggest deal in the world, but something to be conscious of [/quote

If we got 7 points for hitting the post, we would be premiers every year. _________________ Get back on top. |

I prefer to focus on Haw having 4 scoring shots to 3/4 time - which is exactly what Chris Scott will be losing sleep over. |

Hell that is just such shocking news. A real downer after all that joy from a fantastic win. _________________ Free Julian Assange!!

So pleasing to see the next generation played so well: IQ, Bosenavulagi, Kelly!
And of course Darcy Wonderful Moore....those seasoned youngsters.
If anyone can say Atu's surname without pausing, well done to u I had to repeat a few times to remember it. Oh what is it again? |

Loving Quaynors confidence out of defence, almost what we were trying to get out of Sinclair a few year back. Teaming up with Atu's pickup and clean skills. Looks dangerous. _________________ Smoking shadows behind the mirrors - Travis Cloke |

A good win ,but could have done much better. We had most of the play ,but didn`t put it on the scoreboard enough. _________________ I blame my hair loss on supporting Collingwood for 50 years |

Actually reminds me of Heath Shaw - takes the game on but is also very good one on one. I reckon he has better kicking skill than Heath though _________________ I think therefore I think - I think |
