OnMason,s performance last night and Darcy with nowhere to show his form
only injury /illness/suspension appears his only chance for AFL
And the other AFL outside 22 are simalar
And while on that and due to no VFL would it be an idea to increase the 22 to say 24/25 to keep as many players match fit
Don’t know how. Any ideas _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

Baz, it’s going to be a huge problem picking replacements when they have no visible game day form to draw on.
The club will do do more match simulation plays and try and get a handle on those who are ready to step up and those who are still falling short of the standard.
You could also do more one on one drills with players who are vying for the one spot. Cox v Cameron, maybe Noble vs Quaynor etc
The only consolation is that all clubs will be in the same boat and those clubs with the most depth ( includes Collingwood ) will be advantaged because so much of their list has already had a taste of AFL standard.
Shorter quarters will be interesting too. That’s another dynamic that will advantage some and disadvantage the rest. You could argue that younger lists are suited by shorter quarters ( because younger players make more mistakes late in quarters ) but that’s only theory and yet to be played out.
Strange days, indeed. |

Did Coxy miss a tap when he went into the ruck?
Brodie wasn’t the only one to beat up on English. |

Thought the only clear taps to advantage were infact from the American man. _________________ Get back on top. |

If the season manages to continue for a few weeks then it's likely there will be quicker turnarounds between matches so a player like Cameron coming in for Cox regardless of form isn't out of the question.
Cox was serviceable, gets himself another game but stats wise it was close to the average output from him in 2019 with the 2 goals elevating the performance and sticking in peoples mind.
Last night 9 disposals, 4 marks, 7 hit outs, 2 goals
2019 averages 9.07 disposals, 4.29 marks, 4 hit outs, 1.36 goals _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |
