Why is Madgen named. Will be hard without Stevo and Treloar and the magpie army. Plus it is a Dunglands. Who cares it's really boring without the crowd. _________________ "Hey Ma get off the dang roof!" |

I think it was boring due to the fact it was Richmond/ Carlton. It was an early blowout. The game tightened up, but the blues were never going to win it. Personally, I’m excited about tonight’s game. The Pies are playing!!! |

From the limited amount of preseason I saw Madgen was in very good form. It looks like he has really stepped up. Anyway today will be a big challenge as the Dogs have the best or second best midfield in the competition and are a premiership threat. _________________ Daicos, impossible angle ... Goal! |

I tend to agree about Madgen, he was in good nick in the pre-season matches, and I have no issue with his selection. I do feel a little concerned with the lack of grunt in the middle with no Sier or Wills, leaving all the bullocking work to Adams.

WHE, Thomas, Cox, Phillips, 4 players that have continued
with were they left off in season 19. Cox, granted he was an
early omission last year but shown through out the pre season
that he's got no form and he's marking is deplorable for a guy
with such an advantage, let alone he's kicking ability and gaol sense.
2018 was such a rewarding feeling watching the other three
contribute to the team and really projected us in the right direction
up the ladder with their on field form, now they have zero form and
where debuting a skinny next gen as well.
This pre season show was nothing to get excited about I think the season
will be as well. Dogs by 10. _________________ no second chances |

Hope I lose my tip tonight. I picked Footscray to win because I think we look a bit slow without Kenny Rogers and Adam Treloar.

But I’m starting to get a bit excited.

Heard in light of the covid-19 thing that stevo has been placed as emergency as a pre caution as he has had just got over his glandular fever that he had most of pre season. Sier didn't come up in time and just needs more time to get his fitness up to the right level. Treloar now has a tummy bug too and maybe in doubt again for round 2.Thats is if the AFL is still going by then that is.
Varcoe is tracking well and in a few rounds should be avail.
Greenwood likely to come back after that and is rapidly ahead of schedule and is back doing some runs.
Langdon situation is very murkey and is just a grey area so too Beams.
There is an inkiling that Beams could that's could play again but its a slim chance but its a maybe.
That's the goss from the club currently. In regards to injuries players etc.... |

thanks. You answered my question without me even having to ask it. Not surprised that Stevo isn't ready if he had glandular. why do people think his attitude is off? _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

We've gone close these past 2 years but our side is in need of renewal if we're to go that extra step.
Now whether that be with fresh faces being given opportunity or a change of role for staples within the 22 we need a freshen up.
Tyler Brown mightn't be quite ready for the step up to AFL and his stay potentially short lived but it's a selection decision I'm not going to criticise as we need to find out what this next wave has to offer.
de Goey, Elliott and perhaps Crisp are set for more midfield minutes and again I'm fine with trialing that. My only concern is that without the luxury of an A grade key forward it's going to be a fine balancing act between making our midfield group run deeper while not robbing our ability to kick a winning score as frankly de Goey is our best forward and Elliott might well be the number 2.
One thing I've wanted to see tried these past 2 seasons and the coach continues to resist is Maynard being given an opportunity on the ball or even on a wing.
The thought of a couple of wrecking balls and best mates in de Goey and Maynard at the feet of Grundy in the centre circle does appeal to me and would give our midfield a bold new dynamic. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

If T.Brown wasn't debuting, I don't think I'd even bother watching.
Zero interest in this, soon to be cancelled season. _________________ Don't count the days, make the days count. |

I agree - it would be good to see what this centre combination could manufacture!! |
