When are you changing your nick to Mr. Positive? |
When the club gives us something to be positive about, so after Eddie retires and Bucks is sacked, might be waiting a while. |

He obviously thinks coming within a kick of winning both a GF, and last years PF mean nothing at all, bloody hell, I know of many, many saints, dees, north, port, crows, etc fans whod love that close record, with an exciting new season, coming up. Real fans are not like that. _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

Better win this year before Richmong try to poach Moore. I think we will trend down, unfortunately and go from being a top 4 team to a 5-8 team. Hope I'm wrong but I think it will be a case of same faeces, different annus with respect to injuries, Whorethorn, Wet Toast and Greater Waste of Space. Really need an extra A grade midfielder to compensate for Beams and drop off in Pendles output as age inevitably takes its toll. _________________ "Hey Ma get off the dang roof!" |

1990 to me was a drought breaking flag then anything else I don't think it totally buried the colliwobbies as we failed to make finals after 1990 our next finals appearance wasn't till 2002 if the colliwobies was buried Pie's would have won a few more flags shortly after 1990 and also won the grand finals in 2002 2003 2011 and of course 2018 these days Collingwood are on the right track but I feel we need to strike while the iron is hot as the pendles sidebottoms etc aren't getting younger and a transitional period is coming up me thinks the next generation need to step up fast in order for Collingwood not to slip down the ladder and we are in rebuild mode ala 2012-2016 a flag window currently open but probably for the next 2 seasons then may close after that Collingwood need to plan for life after bucks and even Eddie too our next flag is the most elusive we need to win it very soon while pendles etc... are still playing as I said 1990 was great to win but it didn't take us out of the woods entirely either was 2010 but I still think we can win the flag either this year or next Collingwood need to be smart and it's achievable |

Sadly, I tend to agree with you. They gave Beams a long contract because they thought it would secure a quality midfield for 3 / 4 years. We got half a season out of him and we now have the domino effect through our mid field as a consequence.
At some point over a 100 year period, even the perennial cellar dwellers and underachievers like the Saints, Dees, Dogs etc have to get it right. Equalisation is their saviour, as it is our kryptonite.
2018 was the one that got away.
The only point I don’t agree with is Moore. If Moore has a very good season, I don’t see how he makes his way to Richmond ( elsewhere maybe )
Where do they get close to a mill a year and two ( early ) first round draft picks from ?
This would be Richmond simply distributing some positive pre season news to feed their fans on the back of the Rance retirement. |

Yeah their fans must be absolutely gutted after winning the flag without him
Hardwick himself said there’s nothing in the Moore story _________________ https://forever.collingwoodfc.com.au/sav-sinks-the-dockers/ |

It’s funny how success works. When you’ve had it, you crave it even more.
It’s the clubs job to drip feed the masses positive news throughout the pre season, regardless of where they finish on the ladder.
Some clubs just happen to do it better than others. |

Remember the last time we lost a GF then next year lost a PF? It was a downward spiral which saw the team show Buckley to be an incompetent coach.
Difference was at least last time we had won a premiership first, until Eddie destroyed it because he didn't want to lose Bucks to North.
This list is not a premiership winning list, there are too many holes and lack of genuine A grade talent. The fact the biggest star is a ruckman who is actually shit at the most basic of skills expected of a ruckman, taps, says a lot about this side. |
