The OP's statement is entirely unsupported by the linked article, which is basically about Terry Wallace's analysis of the position. In it, Wallace says “For me, I think he’s got about four years with this group to get the job done, so that he gets the amount of time with this group that he has formulated to have a serious, serious crack at it.
“If they have a reasonable year this year I would sign him up for another two and give him that opportunity so it is a four-year period.”
Burns isn't even mentioned. |

Define a serious crack at it tezza. Is it coming within a kick to winning the big dance with out a starting 6 backline or losing a preliminary within a kick because we didn't get out of 2nd gear for three q? _________________ no second chances |

^ He was Collingwood midfield coach from 2014 to 2017 - we made finals every year for the 8 years before he joined. We didn't make the finals while he was at Collingwood. He left for Hawthorn from 2018 and we made a Grand Final and a preliminary final in the two seasons immediately after he left. Hawthorn haven't won a final since he joined. Although he has been in the mix for a number of senior coach positions, including being described on SEN last September as a "lock" to replace Pyke at Adelaide - https://www.sen.com.au/news/2019/09/12/highly-rated-assistant-a-lock-for-vacant-crows-job/ , he's been overlooked. |

P4S wants to coach the Pies, but not with SB as his assistant. |

Nah - I want to coach Carlton. I have what it takes to keep them where they belong. |
