Just don't know what to think at the moment. But we *seem* to be a bit stagnant on this front, may not be true of course. |
What about Tom Wilson? _________________ I am Da Man |

Wilson is only 194cm tall and very light. He may make make it as a third tall in the forward line eventually but he is not going to be the backup key forward we need right now.
We got found out badly at the pointy end of the year when Cox and Reid both were injured, And given Reid's age and injury history we're at risk of getting found out again next year.
There is also the question of our long term key forward stocks. It's surely Reid's last year and Cox , at 28, probably only has a few years left. We have no young key forwards coming thru. And seemingly we don't have the salary cap space to buy in some-one like Jeremy Cameron. _________________ Side by side. |

^^^ Definitely worth a rookie spot. Training alongside big brother and seeing how hard he works, along with a bit of sibling rivalry could uncover a real gem. |

RE: Riley Grundy:
Quote: | Riley Grundy was selected by Port Adelaide with pick 73 in the 2018 National Draft. Brother of Collingwood star Brodie, Grundy only took up football at 15 after initially playing basketball. The defender was a member of the national championship-winning under 18 South Australian side.
A knee injury delayed young tall Riley Grundy’s start to 2019, while a broken finger also interrupted his debut season. However, the 19-year-old played 14 SANFL games for the year and is a developing key position prospect in defence. |
194 cm, 19 years old, a year in Port Adelaides system, key position prospect.
Sounds like he needs a bit of work, but he is very close with his brother/family. He started playing footy at 15, and by 19 he was on an AFL list. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

Any coincidence that he was delisted no sooner then his brother was announced to re-sign with us? It is now appearing that the reason why they perhaps drafted him was to try and lure his big brother over. |

Because he was a Grundy, I watched him “ closely “ in the U18 championships and I thought he thought he looked out of his depth. Even Oscar Brownless beat him and he’s already been moved on.
He looked way to slow against the best key forwards ( Lukosis and King ) You want all these kids to make it but I would be surprised if he got a second chance. |
