Post subject: The frustration and despair of two Collingwood greats | |
|
During the 1960,s a Collingwood great came from Wangaratta Magpies to coach and that was the great Bob Rose
Saw that look of sad despair etched on his face as he walked with his boys flagless in ,64 ,66 and 70
Am I seeing another great Pie with that look in 21st century AFL Magpie history
When will another Magpie great smile with his boys up on the winners dias [/b] _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

I witnessed (and felt his pain) sadness on Bobby Rose,s face and it still kind of sits in a bad spot in my memory—-Bob took on coaching again in 1986 but a few games in handed a raw coach Leigh Matthews the job who in 1990 got success
Again we tried an ex Magpie only to get another outside of club Mick Malthouse and again it paid off in 2010
Phonse Kyne in ,53 and 58 was last home grown coach who grinned the grin
not showed the pain _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

No one cares how the coach feels. We just want them to do what’s necessary to help the team win. |

No one cares —some of us do care
Care is what helps stem the ever prevalent mental issues sports people now endure _________________ I'm not arguing--just explaining why i am right |

I don’t watch the football to concern myself about the mental health of people I’ve no interest in meeting. I want them to win. Of course I’d prefer that they had happy lives - but their individual spiritual journeys are no more my problem than mine is theirs. |
