Post subject: Can we please give Goldy a last game? | |
|
I have been hoping that Goldy would get a last game with his beloved pies but after not being picked against the suns, I fear we will not see him again. I know Bucks has his reasons, but surely he can still contribute on the backline!
I am just so disappointed for him, because it is well known that he still wanted another go.
This is a last opportunity to prove he can still offer something.
Or am I wrong to hope for this? _________________ 'MADE IT LEGENDARY' |

Sorry no. If we had nothing on the line then sure but we are a genuine shot at the flag. _________________ The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. The time for level headed comment comes after. |

Last minute in for the Grand Final, plays forward, kicks the first goal of the game and plays in a Premiership team. Again. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

I'd love to see The Sack play again. Unfortunately, I cant see it happening.
Here's a question. When was the last time you can remember one of our club champions getting a farewell game. A game where we knew for sure it was their last and we were able to give them a decent send off.
I can't remember one.
Swanny's last game was tragic. Career ending injury 2 minutes into a season.
Buck's was in a final loss, although it wasn't 100% he was done with, we all knew it was time. We were hoping to go further that year, so he went too soon.
Other champions just couldn't get back into the team. Tarkyn, O'Bree etc.
Meanwhile Hodge gets the biggest send off in history. His name was on the freaking ball!!!! Then he plays for Brisbane!!! |

Alan Didak is the closest example I can think of – the game against West Coast in round 22 2013 felt like a farewell game – though he still managed to play two more matches after that!

Otherwise, Josh Fraser in the final home and away match of 2010 probably qualifies, though unfortunately we lost that one. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

Yes please. In Goldie and Moore, out Sidey and Madge. Goldie to play high half forward and pressure the hell out of them and create panic with his relentless attack on the ball. |

It’s amazing that some of the same people who don’t want to see Goldy are desperate for Wells to play again...
Give a send off to an injury prone player who never did anything for Collingwood except rort the club for millions, but no time for a one club, premiership player |
