On what basis? Too many supporters and the media expected that just because we made a fairytale appearance in the GF last year, that we would make it again this year. We may still do so - who knows - but to expect it to happen is just .... well, I can't say the words without swearing mightily. |

First quarter was the difference.
Can't believe how undersized we were down back.
Won the inside 50's 63-49 yet they got 19 goals. When was the last time we had 19 goals kicked against us?
Unfortunately the constant ins and outs week to week means lack of continuity and lack of consistency in form. |

I’m calling it now.
Our premiership window has closed.
Our tall forwards are average and we don’t have anything coming through.
I’m sure Mason is a nice person, but surely we can’t continue to play an average player in the most important position on the ground.
The failure to get Lynch is a major failure of the recruiting team. He was the player we needed more than beams. We should have moved heaven and
Earth to get him. This is gonna bite us for a long time. _________________ - Side By Side - |

Time to start the rebuild. Need to get some draft picks after we threw them all away...
For a team who supposedly loves to travel, that's not the first time we've headed to Spotless to take on a very undermanned GWS and got our pants pulled down. Think last time they didn't even have a fit player on the bench by the end! |

Game was over half way through the first, done, we just couldn't recover...
They were just too strong.
Having 2 qunts kick 10 straight is just shit defending.

Poor match-ups in defence made it easy for them. |

BOTH sides were undermanned, not just them, do the names Langdon, Dunn, Elliott and Stephenson, Moore, mean anything to you ?????? _________________ Poverty exists not because we cannot feed the poor, but because we cannot satisfy the rich.

The Beams deal was, in hindsight, a killer and one that sets us back a few years. Coupled with the Wells debacle, Varcoe's form falling off a cliff, Treloar never really recovering from the two hammy injury our window was almost closed. Stephenson's dumb ass selfish gambling slammed it shut! |

Thing is did we have the team today —Flynn was poor yet Crocker with little opportunity and little touches hit the scoreboard

I agree with Lynch, but Devils Advocate with Beams -- Beams was playing good footy last year and there were no indications he was going to fall apart back in Melbourne. Geez, Beams came second in the Lions B&F with Zorko winning by a vote. That said, yes, we should be more aggressive for players like Lynch.
Beams and Stephenson really £$%$ed with us more than we care to admit. |
