Kicked 5.0 yesterday in Swans win over West Perth. 18 possessions, 6 Mark's, 3 tackles and 16 hit outs.
Is looking very solid again this season.

At 40 years of age, Boomer Harvey putting his hand up. Although I think it was more tongue in cheek, but you never know eh. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

He's too quick to get a game in our midfield - he'd upset the team strategy. |

Harvey was still up for grabs in 1995 by pick 47, until North claimed him.
But no, Godden was our guy at pick 40.
And people wonder why we were mediocre in the 90s. _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

Here's an idea for the AFL
How to order the draft? As we now know, it's done in reverse order of the current ladder at the time.
Is this fair? Who knows? Does it really matter? Probably not.
But what about this;
The order of the draft goes in order of the time the LTI occurred. So if you have lost a player in say March, then you'll have the earlier pick to a club thats lost a player the day before the draft.
When we lost Dunn, we would have had pick 4 or 5, if not better at the time. Now we have pick 13, which could fall if other clubs lose players now.
For example, if the Roos lost a player the day before the draft, then they would get pick 2. It could be any player, it could be the worst player on their list who will be delisted anyway. We lost one of our most important KPP's in Dunn before the season even started and we would end up with a pick in the late teens.
I know the players taken wont be changing much to the AFL landscape, but just a small idea. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

It should be in ladder order, not reverse ladder order.
The bottom teams get enough of a legup and giving them first pick almost guarantees that the draft is pointless. They will use it to get a headstart on drafting youngsters not plug and play types to cover for injury, because why do they care? The season for teams right at the bottom is likely over by the time of the draft.
I actually don't thing a mid-seasn draft is a good idea. We'll see. It would be slightly better if it wasn't being used to yet again boost the bottom teams. _________________ Well done boys! |
