Thought Maynard was a bit stiff not to get named. Must be the side fades...🤔 _________________ "The Club's not Jock, Ted and Gerry" (& Eddie)

Grundy should get the 10 against Carlton, although Cripps had a big game, too.
Fyfe had 33 disposals and 3 goals.
Oliver had a monster game for the Dees. 38 disposals and 15 tackles. _________________ Donny.

Surprised to see Treloar get 4 votes here. He had a very good game but mostly after half time. I guess the second half still needed to be played, I second guess that the final three quarters were more difficult for us than the first, so a good performance later might be more important.
Still no votes for Beams. |
Still no votes for Sidey
Still no votes for Adams
Still no votes for 12 other pies players this season
What does it all mean ?? |
That according to the coaches those players have not been in our best few in any game this year?
I'd agree with the coaches on that, though I'd give Sidey votes against Carlton.

Ah and there it was two minutes before my post Great to see Brown with a vote as well.
Phillips, despite being one of our most criticised players is again seen as the 3rd best on ground and is now our equal 2nd best vote getter for the year. _________________ Well done boys!

Don't want to criticise the two coaches, but Grundy should have polled 8 votes, not 7. Patrick Cripps I agree was 10, but how did one coach vote for Phillips above Grundy? That I don't agree. |

Folks there is a mistake with these votes.
Each coach awards 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1.
The votes should tally up to 30 but they equate to 31. This is an additional vote! _________________ Daicos, impossible angle ... Goal! |

We should never underestimate the angst that comes with a 100 metre penalty in the last quarter.
Luckily the coaches remembered his first three and half quarters. |

The coaches not only got our 5 correct but had them in precisely the right order, too. I think they know now to check my GB Medal votes and copy.
I do not see how anyone could think Cripps was best on ground, though. Grundy dominated the game. His contribution got Collingwood over the line. They do get a little too excited about Cripps. Personally, I would have given him 2nd best.
Just twice in the recorded statistical history of our game has a ruckman had 45 hitouts, 25 disposals and 2 goals. The last time that happened was in 1966. Cripps was solid but Grundy played a - quite literally - once in 50 years game. |

^^Agree. Grundy had to be BOG.
Cripps had a great third quarter, the rest of his game was good but not best on ground good. _________________ Well done boys! |
