14 out of 46 actually |
Blah; trying to recall them all....
Brown, Crosisca, Orchard, Patterson, Oleranshaw, Williams, Jacotine, Watson, Clarke, Oborne, S.Rocca and Mal Michael.
Who did I miss? |
It was 16, actually. Mark Orchard, Stephen Patterson, Michael Gardiner, Ricky Olarenshaw, Paul Williams, Craig Jacotine, Shane Watson, Brad Smith, James Wasley, Gavin Brown, Gavin Crosisca, Brad Oborne, Saverio Rocca, Dale Baynes, Simon Hawking and Mal Michael.
He also cut/retired 13 players after the flag. _________________ I am vengeance. I am the night. I am MagpieBat. |

Will be interesting to see how is last man standing with this bunch. Brown and Crosisca were the last ones in Round 22 in 2000. You would expect Pendles and Sidey to last at least until 2020. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

And hopefully become our first dual premiership players for 60 years.

I crack myself up. Here is what i wrote shortly after he departed (and before i knew anything about DeGoey, Greenwood and Crisp.
13. Dayne Beams (2014) - Interestingly, of all of the players to leave us, Dayne is the one i am most conflicted about as he is the only one who left us with arguably his best years ahead of him. On the one hand i could describe him as a selfish person who was helped enormously by the club (especially in the aftermath of two grand finals and a premiership that he barely contributed to) only to turn his back on them over possible personality issues with the powers that be. On the other hand, i have lost a parent to a long term illness and its hard to judge the man for wanting to be near his family. I guess the truth will never really be known. It will be very interesting to see if he is able to taste future premiership success without us (or if we can without him). I fear we will each regret the inability to make this work. Time De Goey and move on to Crisper Greenwoods! _________________ Ohhh, the Premiership's a cakewalk ....... |

That's why we lost this year so they could include Beams in that list in 2019. _________________ Human behavioural studies suggest people who use a lot of swear words tend to be more honest & trustworthy. |

Looking back, all those players left at just about the right time. But Leon could have gone on another year or 2. Swan was forced out through injury, I reckon he would have played on into 2017. And I guess it would have been nice to have a FB like Brown last year, but never mind. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

So these guys along with Varcoe & Roughead are the premiership players on the list. It could so easily had been a lot more. _________________ A Goal Saved Is 2 Goals Earned! |

With Tyson Goldsack retiring, we have just Pendles, Sidey, Beams and Ben Reid left on our list from that glorious day. |
