Of course they are David just as the nippons are slaughtering whales for scientific research!
And really " recreational hunting" in National Parks is something we as a society most certainly should aim for!!

I reckon this bloke could teach you a thing or two - mainly about being a grade A scumbag but hey what the hell.......
Shooters and Fishers Party MP Robert Borsak called the crackdown against the import or export of lion trophies obtained through canned hunting short-sighted, saying the Government had ignored data about ethical hunting.
Fck me - ethical and canned hunting in the same sentence If you want to learn what canned hunting is watch Blood Lions
The NSW upper house MP whose boast that he had shot and eaten an elephant brought him global attention has admitted he's done so eight times.
Invited to place on record a list of other significant African animals he has hunted, Mr Borsak nominated "lions, leopards and cape buffalo".
In southern Africa where he hunts, the animals are not endangered, Mr Borsak said.
Well there you go all of the authorities - you know people who actually know - are wrong about elephants being endangered!!
I'm about to visit Africa again in a month or so for the 5th time - must remember to tell the good folk in the conservancies that they should stop worrying about numbers and stop wasting their money on building solar powered waterholes for the elephants et al - there are plenty no problem at all!!!
Oh and if you want to design your home in the fashion of a PSYCHOPATH then he can certainly teach you a thing or two!!
The repulsiveness of these Neanderthals is only matched by the absolute ineffectiveness of the Greens! _________________ “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.” |

I'm genuinely not sure who'd be more offended by that comparison. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |

^ If they do get two or more upper house seats (and they seem to be looking better as the count goes on 14% primary vote in Mining & Pastoral!), that's not such a bad result for them. Even with the Greens' help, Labor doesn't look like getting a legislative council majority at the moment which will mean relying on One Nation or the Shooters and Fishers alternative environmentalists () to pass legislation.
