Yeah me too! I don't find Melbourne to be a very pretty city. Not many are though. The only city as a whole I can think of that is really nice would be Boston. Open, clean, fresh looking with all the century old buildings all really well maintained. Adelaide is probably the nicest looking city, it's kinda like a big country town though! I vaguely remember thinking Perth was nice but I was about 12 when I went there! _________________ You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either! |

^ If Cambridge is not a city I'd go for Vienna (great architecture, scale, gorgeous interiors, excellent food).
Sydney is Australia's favourite tourist city for a reason, but I agree that Perth is underrated for natural beauty. Melbourne is cool, but only beautiful from certain angles. _________________ Two more flags before I die! |

A friend just released an eight-part web series. It's certainly ... different!

I watched the start, should come with a warning label about use of hallucinogenic drugs.
Anyway, I had a giggle today when our CEO called a meeting of all the HR people to tell them about the new person he's hired to replace me (thank grod) as da boss.
As soon as he said the name, I could hear the gears in the head whirring and the circuits tripping.........."Who"?
They'd never heard of her, so self interest kicks in and minor (or in some cases, more so) panic starts.
IDGAF. i'd never heard of her before either, what will be will be. _________________ Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down. |

Plenty of 'good people' (I hate that term, but I'll roll with it) in the identity politics movement, too. Some of their ideas may be terribly misguided, but you can't fault a lot of their intentions. Some of this 'trigger warning' stuff does my head in too, but I think we would do better to try to understand where they're coming from than to mock them. Same goes for Trump supporters and anyone else who comes to mind, of course. _________________ "Every time we witness an injustice and do not act, we train our character to be passive in its presence." – Julian Assange |
