Is this evidence that the club has its head in the sand, or are they hanging Howe out to dry?
Seems our weed got some good mail.

But it's now been revealed that Howe - who is also nursing a foot injury - has been playing cricket for Koonung Heights against Vermont during the pre-season.
His most recent game was last Tuesday.
SEN is awaiting for further clarification from the Magpies.

Witnesses claimed he ran in from the boundary line, dropped a catch, then immediately left the ground favouring his hand.
|
Also reported he left the ground at 6:30 drove home to Elsternwick, played with his dog and girlfriend and called the doctor at 7:30.
It is so unbelievable that an athlete on this sort of money has:
1. Being playing cricket with a foot injury, and
2. Lied to the club about it
It is unbelievable because no-one could be that stupid, nor disrespectful.
And Collingwood FC bring a professional organisation investing multi-millions of dollars in young men, could possibly be so negligent to make an error of judgment of this magnitude.
It could not possibly have happened. |

More the player being unprofessional than any unprofessionalism on the part of the club. Often happens when players change club on big contracts (Carlise, Lovett anyone). Hopefully a wake up call for Howe. |

The most idiotic excuse I have heard since that Australian swimmer broke his arm skateboarding some years ago, and said he was assaulted or some such shit, to avoid punishment. _________________ M I L L A N E 4 2 forever |

The frisbee story is obviously bs.
What a fool.
Not only is he playing an organised game of cricket whilst suffering a foot injury he's put himself in this danger of suffering a common cricket injury whilst being paid to be a professional footballer.
Once preseason starts there should be a ban on players participating in local sport competitions IMO to minimise this risk. _________________ He's mad. He's bad. He's MaynHARD! |

I haven't been this livid since we recruited the peanut.
450k for 2016 down the chute.
His manager is still backing the story - what a joke !
Collect witness statements, tap his phone, interrogate his GF, kidnap his dog, search his house for a frisbee - do the time line then:
1. Max fine under AFLPA
2. Max suspension under AFLPA
3. Banishment from the club for 2 months
4. First and last warning
5. Adjust club policies so that none with an IQ under 80 is ever employed again, current coaching staff excluded.
6. Tell Ben Niall he is on his last warning for trying to pull this crap off
We owe u nothing Howe and Niall.
Thank your lucky stars if u get off this lightly. |

Yeah, pretty stupid act. The club needs to exert some pain on Howe. You don't BS the CFC without paying the consequences. Need to set an example for others.
Mind you, this time last year the Keefe and Thomas stuff up was playing out, so if the Howe issue is as bad as it gets this pre-season I'm grateful. |

The first thing anyone would do after leaving a SF early having called for ice and not batting is cruise home in traffic, grab the darl and the pup and me frisbee to go take a few speccys out the back. |

All stones are on reserve for the next bloke snorting it up on the telly.
A stoning would be better for this player now known as XXXX, than ignoring it or some minor sanction would it not?
Balmey must have had no confidence in the story when he went on the radio.
I dont blame them if they keep it all quiet internally and take care of him, but he has to feel some real pain for this stunt.
Needs to fess up publicly surely, before the Frisbee Association of Australia sues him for bringing their sport into disrepute.
We can stone him at the end of his contract. |
